Monday.COME "Organic Sowing"

 events-2012-10-002

O-Veg Farm is not easy to find; it is hidden behind trails in the country side of Tai Kong Po Village in Yuen Long. The farm has been opened for more than a year, and customers start to pour in. Every weekend, the farm turns into a restaurant where customers let the owner decides what will be on the menu and how many dishes will be served. The only thing that is certain is that all the food is from the farm's own produce, grown and cooked at the right season of the year. Amenities at the farm are simple yet graceful. From wooden furniture to the music playing in the background, you can sense the thought the owner has put in. The owner CHEUNG Chi started his career in communication, went on to movie productions, then worked as an art director and later taught workshops at the Oil Street and the Cattle Depot Artist Village. Having wandered around the creative industry for years, he began studying food and has put in a great deal of physical effort. He has learned how to farm and is now striving to promote food safety from its very basics. CHEUNG Chi has traveled through more than 50 countries and he says, "Money cannot buy you a good life." How can an organic lifestyle be sowed? Come hear what CHEUNG Chi has to say.
