Undergraduate students joined study tour to Beijing to make news reports on Olympic Games facilities and to visit news organizations

To enhance students' learning outside of the classroom and to enable them to acquire real-life journalistic experience, the School organized a study tour in March 2008 primarily for undergraduate students. The tour comprised 20 students and was financially sponsored by the Hong Kong Journalism Education Foundation (HKJEF). Participants visited the facilities for the Beijing Olympic Games and news organizations to understand more about the news operations in China. The two practicum magazines, U-Beat and Varsity, and other local newspapers published the reporting work of students in the trip.
