The 4th Corridor Exhibition & Forum - Urban China: Media2.0
Home! Sweet Home! The School of Journalism and Communication has long been proud of being housed in the elegantly styled Humanities Building in New Asia College. In early 2008, the School refurbished its adorable home with a seemingly weird idea: it turns the corridor on the fourth floor into a ‘moving gallery’! The School plans to host exhibitions and installations on a wide range of themes. A committee is formed to ensure that the 4 th Corridor will strive to be an interesting and inspiring venue. Committee members include Professor Lui Tai-Lok, Mr. Craig Au-Yeung, Professor Eric Ma and Professor Donna Chu. The 4 th Corridor features its first exhibition on an innovative magazine “Urban China”. Founded in 2004, this Mainland magazine has impressed the industry, critics and the public with its rich content and creative presentation. The exhibition charts this development and discusses the tactics of the magazine. Officially opened on February 21, 2008, the exhibition was accompanied by a forum on “Media2.0: The Urban China Experiment”. Moderated by Professor Lui Tai-Lok, Mr. Jiang Jun, the Chief Editor of “Urban China”, Mr. John Chan Koon-Chung, founder of the local “City Magazine” and Mr. Chan Hing-Yuen, Business Director of Yazhou Zhoukan dialogued on the past and present of the media environment. “Mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam, All are welcome to visit this home with a new face. The exhibition will run from present till May. |
