Consultation Sessions in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou for research graduate programmes in Communication (Registration deadline: 21 Oct)

The 2014-2015 research graduate programmes (MPhil and PhD) of the School of Journalism and Communication, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, are now open for application. The deadline for the first round of admission is 2 December 2013. Applicants interested in the Ph.D. programme must apply through the Hong Kong Research Grants Council's Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS: http://www.com.cuhk.edu.hk/default.aspx?cmd=jfile/jfiledetails&ind=375) in this round.

The PhD Fellowship Scheme, which aims at attracting outstanding students throughout the world to pursue their PhD degree in Hong Kong, offers very generous financial support for successful applicants. The deadline for the second round of admission is 31 January 2014, which is mainly for MPhil applicants. PhD applications will be considered in this round depending on the availability of vacancies.

The School will hold consultation sessions with prospective applicants in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou in mid-October to early November 2013. Details are as follows:

•Guangzhou: 28 – 29 October 2013
•Beijing: 8 – 9 November 2013
•Shanghai: 7,8,11 November 2013
