Our Assistant Professor, Prof. Fang Kecheng, offers the elective course COMM2140 Media and Social Development in Mainland China almost every Spring semester. The course reviews the development of Mainland China’s key media sectors, especially the digital media. In the final paper, students are invited to report and analyse how individuals are affected and changed by the Internet. One of the excellent student papers entitled “小鎮心理諮詢師” was included in a book edited by Tencent in March 2022. The book title is “有數：普通人的數字生活紀實”. The author of the paper is Wang Ziyi, an Integrated BBA and Journalism and Communication (IBBA-JLM) double degree Year-3 student.
